Plumpton and it is getting a bit dark for the bumper. This shot shows just what a racehorse looks like when photographed through a blue filter - except that no blue filter was used!

Mar08: It now seems that her tendon injury will be career threatening, which is extremely disappointing given that she has so much ability and as she got older would have been mentally tough enough to show it. We hope to find her a home as a brood mare, as she has the right sort of lineage, and is a bit of a lively prospect to be a hack.

Oct07: Ruptured a tendon at Fontwell and faces a good year and a half on the sidelines.

Apr07: Went to Worcester for her hurdles debut and was giving the 1/4 favourite some cause for concern when she hung right towards the saddling boxes after the last and nearly dispatched her rider into the crowd. Yet more evidence of the raw ability being up to the task, but the mind being somewhat astray.

Feb07: Had three runs in quick succession, misbehaving horribly on the first, but improving across all three. If she gains the common sense to match her ability, she will be successful...

Jan07: The October plan took a bit longer to emerge, as it was preferred to fill the partnership before racing her, but she got under way early in the new year, finding muddy going at Folkestone a bit overwhelming. On the up side, Madam Cliché has shown since that she is much wiser for the experience.

Oct06: She is gradually building up to full work, and her progress has been more than satisfactory. On one occasion she showed a highly impressive turn of foot, but it was inopportune that it occurred when carting Dani flat out down Baydon Road. The couple in an oncoming car either showed remarkable calmness or 100% rabbit-style panic by stopping instantly and this allowed Dani to recover control and steer around the car and brilliantly avoid a far worse incident when one looked likely. The plan is to run in a bumpers, starting at the end of this month, and go over hurdles in the New Year.

A more recent picture, in which she has made herself more at home than in the one below and proves that she has a future modelling saddles for gnomes, at the very least.

Her Family History

An unraced filly who has been broken this summer.  She is now ready to start her racing career in National Hunt Flat races before going hurdling and eventually steeplechasing.

Her Sire:  CLASSIC CLICHÉ - Champion 3 year old stayer in Europe. He won 6 races and £678,854 from 7 furlongs to 2m 4f including St Leger Gr.1, Ascot Gold Cup Gr.1, Dante Stakes Gr.2, Yorkshire Cup Gr.2, and placed inc. King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes Gr.1. Taking the Stud world by storm his progeny have already won 55 races and over £520,000 in prize money.

Her Dam:  MIRADOR (also trained by Roger Curtis) won 3 races on the flat and over hurdles, and finished 2nd in the Ascot Stakes at Royal Ascot beaten 1 length.

She was still a bit shy around newcomers when this was taken, so if we could ask all visitors to send an introductory video, a voice recording and an example of your individual scent in advance it would make life a lot easier. Sorry for the minor inconvenience!
